The Troll

IceFyst  was always a weakling, Physically at least. Mentally, he was far ahead of any Troll (but thats not really saying anything.) and thats how he survived up in the savage north (of course being a favorite of the Cow trolls helped.).

Soon it came time for him to take his Journey away from the hive to become a fully mature Bull Troll. He traveled a day east of the hive and kindled a fire for warmth, but when he placed his hands near to warm them, he almost burned himself and the fire went out. The cold wasn't that bad so he drifted off to sleep...

He was standing in a vast plain surrounded by prey animals, standing at his side was an Elvish maiden She drew a bow and fired at one of them It fell. The herd raised their heads and lowed with a great voice...

"I am seeking those who are like Me. COME! He who has rejected his home shall  Meet the one who's home Has rejected him. The Icy weakling shall join with The Strong maiden of the South. I am the Weaver Of Dreams, I am seeking those who are like Me COME!!!!!!!!!!!!

When he awoke He resolutely grabbed his club and headed South...

The Dwarf

He was born in darkness. Even though the tunnel was very bright in Dwarfish standards, and from birth Dwarfs have excellent night vision. Drak Ironclad was born in darkness nonetheless. He could neither see the Torches nor the anxious members of his Union watching his arrival in to the world. Drak heard the groans and screams of his mother as she labored to bring him into the world. He felt the heat of many torches. He tasted the smokey air of Rush. He felt the Helper pick him up, and he heard the gasp of horror and revulsion that escaped the Helpers mouth. He heard the fainting, the shuddering, the gasps, and the screams as he was presented to the Union. But he didn't see any of it. Drak Ironclad was born without eyes.

The same instant, and not far away a Falcon chick broke out of it's egg and greeted the soft light of the morning.

Soon Drak Ironclad had plenty of new sensation in what would have been (if not for luck) a tragically short life. For Dwarfish Tradition stated that all deformed newborns are to instantly be thrown out of the mountain. Drak Tasted the sweet cool mountain air. He felt the wind tearing past his tiny body. He felt the warm down of a Falcon's nest cushion his fall. He felt a fuzzy body press against his naked body. And Drak could See.

The falcon chick looked at the strange being that landed in the nest.

Drak saw a naked scrawny dwarf lying next to him. He also felt a connection. One word went through both minds "Mother?"

Unbeknown to them at the time a strong bond was forged between the eyeless dwarf and the eldest falcon chick of the clutch. Working together Drak and Swifteyes, soon gained dominance over the other chicks. Drak's heightened sense of hearing gave early warning as to when the adult Falcons were coming with food. Swifteyes helped Drak to see the bits of meat and helped to feed him in the earlier days. Drak's power had also helped when he touched the other chicks he was able to gain dominance over their minds, but his bond remained with Swifteyes alone.

Drak grew up with full knowledge of what he was, and dwarfish culture, for the Falcons gained knowledge from a colony of cave swallows that inhabited the mine. Years passed and both Drak and Swifteyes grew strong together. The Falcons also arranged for Drak to learn the languages of the land from the Crows and Magpies that followed caravans. Drak learned to clothe himself in the dwarfish manner from the furs that were brought to the eyrie. Swifteyes gained dwarfish strength, and Drak developed the speed of a striking falcon. Soon the time came for the clutch to be kicked out of the nest.

The Older Falcons gifted Drak with two long Dwarfish daggers and ordered that they leave the eyrie. If it hadn't been for Swifteyes Drak would have fallen to his death. But seeing through the Falcons Eyes he managed to descend with ease. When he reached the bottom Swifteyes took her customary perch on his right shoulder.

If you weren't such a convenient perch I would have abandoned you long ago.

Ha,  what we shall do next? I doubt any mates you find will agree to letting you take me along everywhere even if I am such a convenient place to rest your talons and your wings.

You sing the truth. I cannot find a mate and stay with you. But I cannot leave you either, for we are closer than one. Perhaps we can join your people?

No I may not know much about Dwarfish culture but I do know this, I should have died long ago. To them I am an abomination. And even if that were not true You would not like it in the caverns and tunnels of a Dwarfish City. I suggest we camp here in this Plain and talk in the morning. Maybe wisdom will come to us in the night.

That night Drak dreamed. He stood among a great blackness. A Great Voice called out.

When the light of Morning drove away all dreams. Drak stood and packed his few things.

I know what we are going to do.

As Do I. For I shared your dream.

They turned and headed towards the West.

The Elf

Lilayleth was a normal Elvish Maiden and then the dream came...

She was stand in a large forest when all the trees raised a great commotion and she heard a grat voice call out...

She didn't know what it meant but that morning she gathered her things and left for the Icy lands of the north...

The Human

A Great Wind blew through the village the day he was born. Whenever he cried it rained. Soon all the other children took to tormenting him at regular intervals, so that the crops prospered. One day though It became too much for him, Instead of provoking him to tears they aroused his long dormant anger. The Village was almost destroyed. When the other villagers recovered from the earthquake they discovered that he was gone.

The Hermit sat at the forest pool staring into the pool remembering those events. He had finished a rather fat rabbit and was washing his face felt the stubble growing He would have to use the razor that he had fashioned soon. In the ten years of solitude he learned much about using his power. In fact that was the only way he had been able to make the razor that he now scraped across his skin. He wondered if the Village remembered the young boy that gave them rain or the seven year old that nearly destroyed them. He wondered if they even remembered him. He grabbed his staff, stood and used a gust of air to bring him up to his tree house.

When the Sun disappeared beyond the horizon. The hermit slept and began to Dream...

He was sitting in front of his tree house, when the Earth trembled, His fire Blazed as if to consume the entire forest. The wind blew with hurricane force, and the pond swirled and grew. He tried to calm them but he was as powerless as a normal person. They spoke in a Great voice...

When the Hermit awoke he gathered his things and turned to the East...
